The skies may have been playing games on Saturday, September 12th, but nothing could dampen the spirits at the annual Workman’s Airpark Picnic. Residents and neighboring friends gathered for a wonderful afternoon packed with games, fantastic food, and warm fellowship.

Our gracious host—a skilled pilot—guided the day with standard aviation hospitality, keeping everyone high on good cheer even when the weather refused to cooperate. Between bursts of laughter and friendly competition, guests spent the afternoon reminiscing about the rich, storied history of Workman’s Airpark, sharing local aviation lore and neighborhood memories that have shaped the community over the years.

Everyone contributed to the feast with an array of delicious snacks and refreshments, while our hosts truly spoiled the crowd, supplying decadent local ice cream, a spectacular plum cobbler, and plenty of other sweet treats. It was a thoroughly delightful day of deep connection, shared history, and community bond.
